Obesity 2010 CORE Pre-Conference Seminar

“I am bringing up the topic of weight much more easily and am better equipped to assess my patient’s readiness for change.”

“It’s important to discuss weight gain before it happens. I am doing that now!”

“I am more straightforward when counseling families about portion control and physical activity.”

These are just a few of the comments from the outcomes survey following CORE's 2009 Obesity Treatment and Prevention Conference and now you have the opportunity to experience this exciting meeting! Any clinician or dietitian working in a primary care environment has witnessed first-hand the growth of the obesity epidemic. You also recognize that the successful treatment of your overweight and obese patients requires a comprehensive approach.

Get up to speed on the latest thoughts and advances in obesity treatment and prevention. This national seminar includes didactic sessions from national leaders in obesity treatment covering practical topics in clinical obesity management. Topics range from counseling strategies to promote behavior change to the peri-operative management of bariatric surgical patients.

Learn from nationally recognized experts at leading obesity research and treatment centers around the country. Discover the latest treatment options, including behavioral management, diet and physical activity, pharmacotherapy, and surgical treatment, then take a look into the future of obesity treatment.

You'll also have the opportunity to engage and network with other clinicians and dietitians from around the country in smaller group breakout sessions. The breakout sessions will allow you to dive further into those niche areas of particular interest to you while interacting directly with experts and thought leaders in obesity treatment.

So join us in San Diego and take back with you the skills and comprehensive strategies that will enhance your effectiveness in obesity management.
