Bariatric Surgery Center Manager

Maine Medical Center

Portland, ME

Coordinate day-to-day operations of the Bariatric Surgery Center.  Provide direct supervision of the Bariatric Surgery Center Staff.  Supervise patient care in the Surgery Program and assist in the continuum of care development and implementation.  Ensure clinic patients receive the appropriate level of care.  Assess, plan, implement, and update educational programs for patients; document baseline information and teaching/care provided; and coordinate support groups for pre- and post-surgical patients.  Write articles for Bariatric Newsletter.  Establish, promote, and maintain therapeutic relationships with families and patients throughout the continuum.  Monitor patient outcomes.  Coordinate process by collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting information.  Participate as a member of the multidisciplinary team.  Lead personnel in goal-setting and meeting daily responsibilities; and monitor the daily program revenue processes.

The position requires BA/BS in related field; valid Maine RN or RD license; medical office process knowledge; advanced knowledge of nursing or dietician theory and practice; knowledge of Bariatric Surgery or weight loss program; and strong organization, prioritization, leadership, interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. Medical practice or outpatient clinic management experience, including staff supervision is preferred.
